Rebecca S. Davies is a shareholder based in Butzel Long's Detroit office. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from the Detroit College of Law. She also completed the master’s program at Wayne State University Law School in Labor and Employment Law. Rebecca concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law. She represents employers with 2 to 20,000 employees in federal and state court litigation and before state and federal administrative agencies. Her greatest successes, however, are her efforts to prevent litigation. She regularly counsels employers regarding compliance under federal and state employment laws (including FLSA, FMLA, ADA and Title VII), drafts employment policies, and advises on preventative strategies. She holds certifications from both SHRM and HRCI, and is a SHRM certification instructor as well as a frequent speaker on employment law.
