Dr. Jeannie Sneed is a food safety consultant, having retired from Kansas State University as a professor and department head for the Department of Hospitality Management and Dietetics and a research professor in the Center of Excellence for Food Safety Research in Child Nutrition Programs funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She has received over $2.5 million for integrated food safety research and education projects focusing on retail foodservice. She was awarded the NSF International Lifetime Achievement Award for Food Safety Education and Research in 2007. She holds a PhD in foodservice management. She completed the FDA course on risk-based inspection methods in retail.
